There was excitement in the air this morning as students finally received their long awaited A Level results.
Year 13 students nervously opened their envelopes which for many held the key to their future university studies.
The students’ hard work and dedication to their studies had paid off and nerves were replaced with squeals of delight.
Farringtons prides itself on ensuring each individual is given the support to fulfil his or her potential and the 7% increased success rate at A*- B level was great to see. The average point score for each student has also increased by 6%.
Many students’ grades exceeded their expectations, including overseas boarders Tony Zhang and Roger So. Tony achieved three A*s, one A and one B and Head Boy, Roger gained two A*s, two As and one B. Both students also gained a grade B in their extended projects. These students must be congratulated for achieving such outstanding results, as English is not their first language.
Dorothy Nancekievill, Head, said, “These great results have opened the gate to university study, in a wide range of subjects, and our students leave Farringtons as confident, capable and charming young people ready for the next stage of their development. The students, the staff and their parents deserve to be congratulated on a job well done.”
