Farringtons Celebrates A Level & BTEC Success

The School was buzzing this morning as Year 12 and Year 13 students arrived to collect their eagerly awaited A Level and AS Level results.

There were squeals of delight as students opened their envelopes to reveal their grades, and confirm their chosen places at a range of universities throughout the UK. We wish them well as they prepare for the next exciting stage in their education.

Students achieved a 97% pass rate of A* – E, with 71% of the grades A Level grades or equivalent being A* – C.

Many of the successful students were international boarders, who not only had to overcome the academic rigour of studying A Levels, but also had to conquer the English Language. Year 12 student, Roger So, from Hong Kong achieved an A* in A Level Mathematics.

The introduction of BTECs in Business, Sport and ICT has also yielded excellent results with most students gaining the top Distinction Award.

Head, Mrs Nancekievill, said ‘I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of our students and the dedication of the excellent team of teaching staff has meant Farringtons’ students have achieved an outstanding set of exam results, resulting in entry into universities of choice. Congratulations and very well done to everyone.’
