The AQA A Level Economics is studied as a full linear course over two years and is examined over 3 papers:

Paper 1: Micro Economics

Paper 2: Macro Economics

Paper 3: Synoptic Paper

Economics applies theory to support analysis of current economic problems and issues, encouraging students to appreciate the interrelationships between microeconomics and macroeconomics.  The students will study:

Higher Education & Career Options

Qualifications in Economics can lead to a wide-ranging choice of careers, either directly into employment such as the banking industry or into higher education. Most students taking  A-Level Economics continue into higher education studying a range of courses including Management, Economics, Finance and Banking or pursuing an Apprenticeship programme.
