A Level Results – Academic Year 2018/2019
Year 13 students and staff celebrated together as the A Level and BTEC results were finally revealed.
Our students’ impressive results across all subjects have enabled them to secure places at prestigious institutions including Imperial College, University College London, Bristol, Glasgow and Bath Universities, to study everything from Medicine and Engineering, to Law and Politics.
Farringtons offers a wide range of A level and BTEC courses in the Sixth Form, to suit our students’ academic, creative and vocational aspirations and we are extremely pleased with Year 13’s achievements.
These results are testament to the hard work from the students themselves and their inspirational and committed teachers.
Dorothy Nancekievill, Head Teacher, commented, “It has been a real pleasure to watch each student develop over the past five years, I believe that they have the intellectual capacity, and emotional intelligence, to face life after school with confidence and I look forward to hearing of their future successes.”
GCSE Results – Academic Year 2018/2019
58 Year 11 students and teachers had cause for celebration when the GCSE results appeared.
All subject areas achieved top grades, ten subjects achieved a 100% pass rate including English where over 50% were awarded the top grades of 7, 8 & 9 (formerly A, A* and A**).
More impressively, the valued added scores for the year group meant that the students achieved 23% higher grades than they were predicted when they joined the school in 2014.
The results reflect the student’s desire to do well, their inspirational teachers and supportive parents.
Dorothy Nancekievill, Head Teacher, commented, “I am extremely proud of the tremendous progress our pupils have made, the grades achieved and I look forward with anticipation to further academic heights in the Sixth Form.”
